The Ctenanthe burle-marxii, commonly known as the Fishbone Prayer Plant, is a striking tropical foliage plant prized for its distinctive feathered leaf patterns. Native to Brazilian rainforests, this compact plant features elongated leaves with silvery-white markings that resemble fishbones against deep green backgrounds. This prayer plant thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers consistently moist (but not waterlogged) soil. It appreciates humidity, making it ideal for bathrooms or kitchens. Grows to a modest size, perfect for shelves, desks, or plant collections. Its dramatic foliage adds tropical elegance to any indoor space while remaining relatively low-maintenance with proper care.
