Aechmea, commonly called the urn plant because its arching leaves form the shape of an urn. This is easy to care for bromeliad, making it an ideal plant for a beginner. The urn plant is suitable for both indoor and outdoor areas with part of full shade. Too much direct sun can burn the leaves. This plant thrives in bright indirect sunlight. The plant will produce a long-lasting bright flower spike. When the flower spike dies, the mother plant will also die but should leave behind pups.
