Callistemons commonly called bottlebrush plants because their foliage looks like a bottle brush are gorgeous and versatile native plants. This icon of the Australian home garden brings colour and native birds to the garden. They thrive in both warm and cooler temperatures. Once fully established, these plants are also fairly drought and frost tolerant, and do not get affected by pests or diseases, making this an extremely hardy and easy plant for your garden. 

The 'Red Rocket' is medium-sized shrub that grows dense foliage with red tips. It is an excellent choice for mass planting for a hedge or medium height screen or as a colourful accent plant.

Soil: Well draining native mix is the best; however, they can tolerates a range of soil types from sand to moist clay and is an excellent option where the soil has too much clay for natives such as banksias and grevilleas.
