The Ficus lyrata 'Bambino' is a dwarf form of Ficus lyrata or the fiddle leaf fig tree. Even though it is the dwarf version, and its leaves are not as big, the 'Bambino' still has large leaves. The leaves are glossy and dark green with lighter coloured new growth. This is an evergreen tree and is an excellent choice as an indoor plant or for a protected patio. If you like the fiddle leaf fig tree look but don't quite have the space, the 'Bambino' is your plant as it looks quite similar but is far more compact. Another difference between the two is that the 'Bambino' is denser and bushier compared to its lankier counterpart.

Ficus plants have extremely invasive roots so, in urban gardens, it is strongly advisable to keep them in pots or containers rather than planting them in the ground.
