Lomandra confertifolia 'Wingarra' (Mat Rush)
Large, deep rhizomes give Wingarra Lomandra its greater toughness compared to other confertifolia species. It features compact clumping foliage with a delicate texture that is blue green. September to November sees the appearance of tiny yellow blooms. Wingarra Lomandra, like all confertifolias, takes a little longer to establish than other Lomandras; for milder areas, a higher planting rate or larger pot sizes are advised. Dimensions: 30 cm tall by 30 cm broad. Mass planting or border planting are two uses. Although it resembles grass, it rarely needs cutting. relatively little upkeep. tolerates frost, drought, and humidity. Sand, sandy loam, and clay soils are good for Wingarra Lomandra. Water as needed during the first 8 to 13 weeks to establish the plant. For dry inland areas, occasional watering may be necessary. Plant in a garden with plenty of mulch.
