The more desirable version of the well-liked dwarf Nandina "Gulf Stream" is called Obsession Nandina. Although it grows to an equivalent size, it has new red growth for most of the year. The Japanese name for this cultivar, "SEIKA," which translates to "holy fire," was given because of the colour of the new growth. Size: 60–70 cm tall by 60–70 cm wide. Low hedge, shrub, and feature uses. For the first 8 to 13 weeks, water as needed. Plant in a garden with lots of mulch. Use a slow-release fertiliser in the spring if necessary. If needed, prune every two to three years.

What a gorgeous tree!

My Fiddly Fig has finally decided to have it's last tantrum - nothing made it happy and all the research and care I put into it came to nothing. Of all my plants, it is the most demanding. I ordered the Banyan Tree and it's tall! The bark is a beautiful silver and the leaves are strong - it is such a healthy, majestic plant. Hopefully the fiddly fig ups its game now there's a contender for my affections in the house (but knowing the fiddly fig, it'll probably drop another leaf in protest). Thank you for such a healthy, beautiful plant, sorry, tree! :)
