Platycerium superbum, commonly called the Staghorn fern is a gorgeous epiphytic (grows on trees) fern native to the lowland rainforests of northern New South Wales and Queensland. This large and interesting plant has long antler-like green fronds that drape down and form a nest of green foliage with brown undersides. Staghorns are usually cultivated on wooden boards.
